Bloom – Original Repurposed Floral Painting on Canvas

This one-of-a-kind painting began its journey as an old, mass-produced print—originally picked up at a garage sale in Satellite Beach. A dear friend passed it on to me as a little nudge of encouragement to repurpose it into something new and beautiful—and to help her clear out some space in her garage! 😊

What was once likely destined for a store like Ross or TJMaxx became the canvas for my artistic transformation. The original piece was pretty, but its lack of originality inspired me to give it new life.

I began re-painting the flowers and background, not all at once but over time. The only element that remained in the final piece was the silhouette of the larger flowers. I felt they needed connection, so I wove vines between them, adding new blooms that represent growth and transformation.

My creative process has no rush—unlike everyday life. I’m learning to “trust the process,” just like the saying goes.

Why I named it Bloom

I chose the name Bloom because, like nature, we’re always evolving. The timing may not always make sense in the moment, but eventually, everything comes together just as it's meant to be.
