Chapter 1: The Discovery of a Vision - The Purposeful Dreamer Experience

When the idea for Purposeful Dreamer first came to me, I couldn’t sleep—I was so excited! I probably drove my husband and sisters crazy talking about it nonstop.

I challenged myself to build the first Purposeful Dreamer online art gallery, feeling a strong call to include my family and friends in this experience of giving and receiving through our art.

What came out of it was amazing, and I’ll forever be grateful for their bravery in putting their creativity out there for a bigger purpose and supporting my vision.

Through this journey, we learned so much—both from exploring our creativity and from the charities we chose to support and highlight with our art.

After 9 special highlights of my family and friends, I was able to replicate this experience by collaborating with a seasoned artist who has since become one of my closest friends.

Those first two years confirmed the magic of creativity and the purpose behind this vision. They also taught me a profound lesson:

Learning to receive can be just as challenging as giving. We all have unique ways to give back through our gifts and abilities.

This experience helped me understand and embrace that in ways I never had before.

But life, as always, had other plans. Over the past four years, I continued to work on Purposeful Dreamer in various ways. The journey wasn’t without setbacks—like when the website I spent over two years building crashed, or when I lost an ovary to an ovarian cyst. Yet, through what felt like a miracle, I became a mom a year and a half later.

Life is a journey, and every twist and turn has shaped mine.

As LL Cool J says, “Dreams don’t have deadlines.”

Fast forward to 2024—what a rollercoaster it has been! I’m proud of how much I’ve grown, especially for acknowledging and seeking help during my postpartum journey.

Today, I’m writing this with a renewed sense of purpose, so much stronger, and with a fresh perspective on what Purposeful Dreamer is meant to be.

Tomorrow marks exactly four years since I launched my first online art store. And today, I’m thrilled to officially announce that our new online store—featuring even more products and inspiration—is OPEN!
