Breathe Through It: Reflections from a Week of Transition

Karina Hines 0 comments

This week’s Weekly Inspiration Wednesday looked a little different. We had just arrived in El Salvador — not with boxes and a moving truck, but with too many suitcases, surfboards, and hearts wide open to the unknown. Amid the overwhelm of setting up a new life with just the basics, I found myself without my usual books or setup… but I did have my breath — and that turned out to be more than enough.

With no plan and a whole lot of emotions, I decided to go live anyway. I shared the story behind my Breathe design — a piece that holds deep meaning for me. It was born during a season of pain and healing after an emergency surgery to remove a large cyst and one of my ovaries. The pain from that experience — both physical and emotional — taught me just how powerful our breath can be when everything else feels out of control.

During that recovery, I wrote down words that helped me stay grounded. I recently found that old note sheet and brought it with me — without even realizing how much I’d need those words again.

I read them live during our session, and I’m sharing them again here with you now.

🌬️ Why I Shared This Live

In that moment, breathing became my medicine, my anchor, and my reminder that I’m still here—still healing, still creating. These moments were captured as I shared the practice live from our new home in El Salvador.

I was nervous. There was no outline, no perfect setup, just me — breathing, speaking from the heart, and remembering that sometimes, the tools we need most are the ones already within us.

It reminded me that we can pause — wherever we are, even in the middle of transition — and simply breathe through it. That is what this week’s message was really about. And if you're in a season of change, grief, healing, or just uncertainty… this is for you too.
