I drew the word Smile in my own cursive handwriting, connecting the final letter to a little smiley face. The idea was inspired in part by my dad, who has always had an incredible ability to smile and laugh even through difficult times—and who taught me the power that sharing a smile can have on the people around us.

Along my own journey, I’ve also become fascinated by the connection between smiling, our emotions, and our state of mind. Something so small can help us shift how we feel while creating a moment of warmth and connection with someone else.
